Abstract Photos
My favorite picture is the one of the blinds. I think this is most successful because it has a wide variety of value. Your eyes are led from one corner to another. It is also brought together with unity.

Surrealism

The photograph with the pool table is my favorite. In photoshop i changed the color a lot. i changed the blue on the table, and made it brighter. I also changed the contrast in the overall picture becuase it seemed dull before. This also created more of a range of value with more true black and white. There is also contrast with the intensity of colors. The 8 ball is what is in focus in this picture. That is what makes it macro.

Nadav Kander
The picture on the left, I did many things in photoshop to improve it. I deleted a shadow on the left that was from a tree not included in the picture. I also changed the colors. I brightened the green in the trees, and covered up the road in the background using the stamp tool. I think this is like Nadav Kanders photos because he took pictures of nature and didn't include anything else in it. Do you think i should have dulled the color in the tree instead brightened it and dulled the color in the sky?
The picture on the left i took of a field with trees behind it. I had to blur out the telephone wire that was hanging through the picture. I also dulled the colors. I made it look more black and white. I wanted to dull the colors to make it look more depressing and lonely like Nadav Kanders pictures. It is also plain like Nadav Kanders pictures and there isn't much in the composition. Did i successfully dull the colors in this photograph?

Emulated Artist-Jan Groover
In the picture on the left i wanted to capture a close up picture in a sink. In photoshop I fixed some water spots that were in the sink. I used the blemish tool and the stamp tool to do this. i also changed the light to make the contrast stand out more. I think i successfully copied Jan Groovers picture. This is because it is close up like hers and uses the rule of thirds. I also have many different values like Jan Groover. Do you think i should have added more objects to the picture?
In the picture on the right i wanted to capture more of the sink and be further away than the last one. In photoshop i changed the color a lot. There was reflections of different colors within the objects so I blurred them out and make it more of a gray scale. i think the circle of the glass brings unity with the circle in the sink. I also think that the silverware in the glass draws your eye down to a focal point in the picture. I think i successfully emulated Jan Groover because i included many objects in a larger area. Also the shapes went together to bring unity just like in Jan Groovers picture. Is this picture to plain?

Montage

I got a picture of mountains and added a snowboarder to it. I also eddited some of the clouds and Mountains. I added a light spot towards the bottom of the board, and it has a redish tint in it to make unity with the snowboard. I adjusted the color because it was more gray to begin with. I combined the beauty of the mountains with the love and dedication of snowboarding. I used the rule of thirds and did not place the snowboarding directly in the middle of the picture. The focal point is the snowboarder because of the yellow jacket, but your eye is drawn down throughout the picture. Is the picture to simple, should i have added something else?

Montage

In this montage i combined The Beatles and time square, Virgin building. I wanted to combine the present music scene with the past. Also, members of The Beatles had homes in New York, and they performed frequently in New York. The Beatles also played a great role in developing music into what it is today. I think i successfully conveyed this message. I added the picture of The Beatles, The Beatles sign, and edited some of the background. I kept the picture of The Beatles in black and white to convey the fact they developed in the past. I used the rule of thirds in this picture. I believe the focal point is The Beatles sign with the red behind it. This is because the red is bright and stands out from everything else. It also draws your eye down to the rest of the photograph. Is the city background to distracting?
